What is sahaja yoga meditation?
True meditation occurs when our mind is still. We enter a state known as
“thoughtless awareness” – when the thoughts subside, we can experience complete piece and joy. Further, the subtle, internal side to our being is, effortlessly brought into balance and this improves our life in many ways. Sahaja Yoga is so simple that anyone can benefit from it and it requires just 10 minutes of your time in a day.
This ‘subtle system’ is within each of us. Through sahaja yoga meditation, the dormant kundalini (coiled energy) is awakened and begins to nurture the seven chakras that govern our well being at every level. In the words of the founder of sahaja yoga, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:
“By kundalini awakening, all your inner qualities which looked like lost but were in a dormant state – like your innocence, creativity, your religion within, compassion and love for humanity, power of judgment, wisdom – they all get awakened one by one.
